The Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin)
Kek Lok Si temple this is where my mind flow to when i think about goddess of mercy. kek lok si temple located in georgetown, penang. so this post will be packed with pics of kek lok si. for those who hasn't been there than all this pic would be a treat for you i guess. haha as what i heard that the lights are fully lit at kek lok si only for the 15 days of cny. and since i was in penang for my cny, so its a must go! the heat and the beauty of those colorful lights will just melt my heart in an instant. i almost didn't get to go because it was freaking packed all the way from the top of the temple to the road that is quite far away. well, all thx to my persuasion and distraction to my father as his a person that hate crowds. so i really hope you guys love the shot i took up at the temple. enjoy! get ready! very ready. or else turn around. oh, get 2 bucks ready as well. this whole view is way too overwhelming and i had to take all in one so.. i did a hand held panorama shot! this was the further i went for this area. i see colours~~ statue of buddha pagoda the colorful lane lanterns! curve walk way joss-sticks me and my parents! this was the queue! funny thing was that it only took 5 min to get the tix but 1 hour to get to the top! what was that 1hour waiting for??? just to see this!! it makes me feel like its some sort of garden in the heaven around a pond looking over the place from above looks so fierce. if i'm not mistaken, all those words crafted on all the pedals are to show appreciation to those who donate tons of money for the redevelopment of the temple all the way up! kid making donation. bowls that monk used to receive offering of food from layman. everyone's busy praying while i was busy snapping! family! some real cool craftsmanship. the goddess of mercy! prince naa zha! i dont think i need any caption for this. thats about it. i guessed you guys are pretty familiar with penang food right? but are you guys familiar with penang eating habits?? hehe curious to find out what i mean? all up on the next post. till then, take care |
